During the years of Prohibition
- the least observed of all US laws
- blues, jazz, boogie woogie, gospel and country music all made the journey from their Southern roots to the teeming Northern cities of Chicago and New York. Join in with a hand-clapping, foot-tapping blues and boogie woogie party!

Sat 3rd March     Howard Haigh     Latino/Guitar/Blues - a world of sounds

Music from around the world mixed with dazzling originals to create a richly varied and satisfying programme. An exciting blend of the old and the new, the familiar and the unexpected, always accessible, always entertaining. Featuring Rumbas, Tangos, Popular Songs, Gypsy, Afro-Cuban, Jazz/Blues, Celtic and more.
Celebrated composer Howard Haigh presents his dazzlingly original and captivating music, plus songs and music from around the world played on guitars, drums, harmonica, and many surprises. Audience participation allowed!

As our April 'First Saturday' falls in Easter weekend there will be no 'Spot On' Rural Touring cultural event.
You are however invited to be present when an up-and-coming artist gives her first professional performance.
Cat Taylor brings her keyboards to life playing some of your most loved songs ranging from Folk to Rock ‘n Roll and beyond.
As an added incentive to those who have decided not to spend half the Easter break on the M6 we offer a glass of wine on arrival and pâté and cheese in the interval.

'Save the Day' is a duet of many different talents and instruments which include; vocals, guitar, whistles, drums, clarinet and bazooki! With Jez and Emma's own unique twist to each song, 'Save the Day' brings contemporary and traditional songs to life with a magic that stays with you for the rest of the week.
They also perform their own written music and show the message that a smile goes a long way, and with it you can achieve anything!
Jez and Emma have been performing together for several years in a variety of settings embracing anything from the wide open spaces of music festivals including Glastonbury to more formal Awards and Charity events to the more intimate settings of wine tastings, parties and dinners.
